What we use

What we use

The player ID crosswalk (db_playerids.csv) matches NFL player IDs to other platforms' IDs. A nightly job on the server reads it. It is never sent to browsers and never committed to the repository.

What we use

Banter reads each show's public RSS feed for episode titles, dates, artwork and the address of the audio file. It links to the show. It plays the publisher's own audio file. It does not re-host or proxy audio for listeners; a temporary indexing copy is deleted after processing.

Credits

Every take names the show and links to the full episode. The show list on /sources links each show to its own site.

Not used

Yahoo Fantasy API.
Not used. It needs an approved application, and Yahoo's attribution and logo if it ever ships (#253).
Sleeper API.
Not used in any paid product. The roster import is built behind a flag that is off. It needs Sleeper's written permission first (#33, #252). Sleeper's attribution applies if it is ever turned on.
Apple Search and Lookup API.
Not used by shipped code. Show feed addresses were resolved once for the seed list. A refresh job is planned (#189).
Podcast Index.
Not used. A gap check is planned for later; its terms limit permanent copies.

Banter does not use player photos or team logos.

Shows

Every take comes from one of these shows. Banter links to the show and plays the publisher's original audio file. It does not re-host or proxy audio for listeners. Our pipeline downloads a temporary copy to index an episode and deletes it afterwards. We do not publish transcripts.
